Self-Paced Math Review
This course is the perfect solution for the student who needs to prepare for a High School Equivalency (HSE) or college placement test or who plans to enroll in a college algebra or trigonometry course but feels a little rusty or unprepared.
This non-credit, interactive computer video course allows students to review arithmetic and algebra skills needed for success in basic college math courses.
Students will meet with a Learning Assistance Center Education Specialist to establish a study plan. Students will then work independently and at their own pace, progressing through multi-media lessons, taking practice tests, and generating a record of their progress.

Midterm Check
The Midterm Check is an online survey that provides students with the opportunity to request information from many academic and student support services based on their self-assessed needs. Submissions are received by the Office of Retention and Student Outreach Services which notifies the selected offices of the student’s request for support and outreach is made by those offices to the student. The purpose of the survey is to help students identify areas they are in need of assistance during the middle of the semester and connect them with the requested resources in a timeframe that meets the students’ needs. Students: take the Midterm Check (login may be required).
Study Groups
Learning Center professionals encourage students to form study groups. Introductory workshops are available for study group members and study group leaders. A study group leader is recruited from a specific course section when a group of students in that same class seeks help. Study group leaders are hired by the Learning Centers, trained as Peer Tutors, and paid for helping their classmates. Study groups may reserve space to meet in many areas within the Marvin Library Learning Commons building during the week and on Saturdays.
